Why The Black Squirrel you might ask?
The black squirrel is a melanistic subgroup of the eastern grey squirrel. As a melanistic variety of the Grey Squirrel, individual black squirrels can exist wherever Gray Squirrels live. The black subgroup is particularly abundant in the northern part of the Eastern Grey's range. This may be due to the significantly increased cold tolerance of black individuals.
Since there is no real reason for calling my blog The Black Squirrel other than they are certaintly the coolest of all squirrels....I think I encountered my first Black Squirrel in Ada Ohio somewhere back in the early 70's.....I had no idea there were black squirrels only to find out somewhere around that precious age of 12, that I literally had no idea about most things including my future.
I intend, in a narcicistic way to use this blog to dilly dally and write things down. My three passions are politics, running and my family....but I do want the chance to write and explore how I can place daily thoughts into coherent sentences. I do hope they have spell check on this puppy......
